Born Jack Clayton Moore, September 14, 1914 – December 28, 1999

An American actor best known for playing the fictional western character the Lone Ranger from 1949–1952 and 1953–1957 on the television series of the same name and two related movies from the same producers. During World War II, Moore enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Forces and served with that branch's First Motion Picture Unit making training films, such as Target-Invisible, in which Moore co-starred with fellow actor Arthur Kennedy.Clayton Moore died on December 28, 1999, in a West Hills, California, hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home in nearby Calabasas. He was survived by his fourth wife, Clarita Moore (née Petrone), and an adopted daughter, Dawn Angela Moore.
